PANASONIC DMP-BD75EB-K Review Remote Control viewBut what if you are HD-already-here? The Panasonic DMP-BD75EB-K Blu-Ray Disc Player may be more your HDMI cup of tea. Starting with the ability to play all of your region 2 DVD discs including those you´ve created on DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R and DVD+RW discs. No problem with CDs either, coping admirably with most music formats and also CD-R and CD-RW discs for your home compilations.

Who´d have thought this Panasonic DMP-BD75EB-K review could get any better? Well it does because the Panasonic goes one better by adding high definition Blu-Ray discs to the equation – and all in stunning 1080p high resolution. It will even up-scale your conventional DVD discs to HD 1080p too – great for watching older films you haven´t got a high definition Blu-Ray copy of yet…  And it goes one better with the ability to play high definition files from USB drives (DivX HD /MKV formats) as well as more conventional MP3, DivX and Jpeg formats.

The Panasonic DMP-BD75EB-K can even connect to and play media utilising DLNA technology to access files on a DLNA server-compliant PC or high definition recorders (DIGA). By connecting the Panasonic to a home network (LAN), you can access AVCHD, WMV, DivX, JPEG, MP3 and WMA files on your PC, or AVCHD files, recorded programmes and JPEG on your DIGA.

Add in easy to use menus and compact dimensions and the Panasonic ticks all the right boxes, and at a fraction of the cost you would have been paying not too long ago.

User Review Pros

  • “Loads the disk considerable quicker than previous generation blu-ray players, and provides an excellent picture and sound.”
  • “It is almost silent whilst running, and the build quality is excellent, like all Panasonic items.”
  • “Was a breeze to setup, connect to the TV via HDMI cable, turn it on, run through the set up menu and it’s all done.”
  • “Overall this is a fantastic Blu-Ray player which is well priced and is of great quality. I’d easily recommend it and it gets 5 Stars without hesitation.”

User Review Cons

  • “My only niggle, is that I have not found a way to run a movie with
the correct aspect ratio, from a USB stick. It insists on running in 4:3 ratio instead of 16:9.”
  • “When you stop a disc or turn off the player it reverts back to the beginning of a disc.”
