Doctor Who sonic screwdriver remote control - time lords tv companion

First used by the second doctor Patrick Troughton, the sonic screwdriver has been the Doctor’s most valued assistant. Now you too can extricate yourself from a dodgy TV channel situation with the new Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote Control.

The Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote Control is a high quality metal replica of the Mark VII Sonic Screwdriver currently used by the eleventh doctor Matt Smith. Hand finished with copper plating and a soft touch grip the Sonic Screwdriver is a high quality collectible in its own right.

But how an earth does it work? The Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver is a fully programmable universal remote control using the gestures of the holder to send infrared signals which will work with almost all home entertainment systems, TVs, DVD players, iPod docks and Blu-ray players.

Doctor Who sonic screwdriver remote control - back viewThe Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver learns up to 39 codes from your existing remote controls and stores these in one of three memory banks. Any button on the remote control can be assigned to each of the 13 gestures, and codes from different remote controls can be stored in the Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote Control.

There is a very handy Practice Mode which allows you to perfect the 13 gestures – each time a gesture is recognised the Sonic Screwdriver speaks to tell you the gesture performed. Again when in Programming Mode the Sonic Screwdriver also talks you through the process of learning the codes from your remote controls to make things as simple as possible. And don´t worry, you won´t lose the codes when the batteries are removed, and they can be changed at any time.

And that´s not all! There is an FX Mode whereby each of the 13 gestures is accompanied by a Doctor Who sound, whether it be an alien voice, sonic screwdriver sound or sound from some other piece of Time Lord equipment.

The Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote Control also comes with a special Lock Code facility. Once set, when the code is entered the Sonic Screwdriver will power down and lock itself. When it is next switched on it will not work unless the code is entered correctly, preventing illegal channel hopping or un-authorised time travel.
